New Zealand!!

This past weekend, Erik and I returned from just over three weeks of traveling in the beautiful country of New Zealand! Erik spent six weeks in NZ in 2002, but this was my first time visiting both the North and South Islands. For me, this might go down as my favorite destination of all time, mainly due to the diversity of the landscape (beaches, mountains, lakes, etc. all within a few hours of driving time from one another or even in the same vicinity), but also because we met and interacted with so many wonderful people (locals and fellow travelers, too) over the course of our holiday. There will be many blog posts about NZ to follow, but in the meantime, I will leave you with an iPhone photo taken from the spot where we stopped for lunch on our last day in New Zealand.
